　　一、商务英语文章结构特点

　　商务题材的英语文章，行文格式较为固定，商务英语文章在体裁上大致有：商务报告、商务合同、商务信函和商务评论等类型，不同类型的商务英语文章有不同的行文特点，以商务评论为例，评论文章一般是先简单叙述被评论事件的背景，然后提出自己的观点，最后阐述评论观点和事件的意义。

　　商务英语文章的篇章结构逻辑合理，意义连贯。所谓逻辑合理包括句子结构合理，段落安排合理，语篇思维合理。所谓意义连贯包括句与句之间语义连贯，段与段之间内容连贯，上下文之间思路连贯，而且通常遵循先综合后分析的思维模式。

　　二、提高商务英语阅读能力的方法和途径

　　1、积累一定的专业知识和商务背景知识

　　商务题材的英语文章的内容脱离不了当时或前后的特定的政治、经济和社会背景。如果读者对这些背景知识缺乏了解，即使有很好的英文功底，也不可能很好地理解和领会作者所要传达的商务信息。如果读者能了解一定的政治、经济方面的背景知识就会大大有助于对文章的理解和把握，甚至可以在某些方面弥补语言能力方面的不足。因此，读者应该注意扩大自己的知识面，紧跟当今商务发展形势，广泛涉猎世界政治、经济等方面的知识。

　　2、不断丰富商务英语词汇

　　商务英语的学习者往往受到专业词汇量的限制而无法快速、正确和全面地理解文章，或者是由于对某些词汇的片面理解而导致对整篇文章的片面理解和把握。所以，商务英语的学习者必须要通过大量视听和阅读来逐步理解和积累专业词汇，由于商务涉及的范围十分广泛，所以商务词汇也是很丰富的，在众多的记忆单词的方法中，在阅读中记忆单词无疑是最有效的一种方法，建议学生借助商务领域中的某个特定主题，选择若干篇文章，这些文章在内容上一定程度上涉及到了该主题的若干基本词汇，学生通过强化阅读，不仅可以深化对这一商务主题的理解，在阅读过程中又可很轻松地掌握住这些基本词汇。同时，一定要精准地理解和把握住每一个商务词汇的含义和用法，只有这样才能准确和全面地理解商务英语文章。

　　3、把握文章的总体结构

　　商务英语题材的文章结构完整，逻辑严密，脉络清晰。所以，阅读这类文章时，千万不能仅限于对单个段落、句子甚至某个词汇的’理解，而忽视了对文章总体结构和逻辑思路的把握，否则就无法完整、全面地理解作者所要表达的意思。有时甚至会曲解作者的写作意图。从总体上把握文章的结构和思路，可以大大提高阅读的效率，快速地发现所需要的信息。一般的，要把握好文章的整体结构，需要从以下几个方面入手：

　　1）标题：商务英语题材文章的标题高度概括和凝练，是对文章基本信息的高度总结。

　　2）导语：导语一般是文章的第一个自然段，是对文章内容的概括，实际上也是对标题的适当展开，通过阅读导语和标题就能了解一篇文章的大致意思，阅读时对语篇所要传达的主要信息就可以做到心中有数，抓住了语篇的宏观信息，细节问题就可以迎刃而解。

　　3）段落主题句：虽然导语是对整篇文章内容的概括，但是读者也要重视段落主题句的作用，段落主题句是对某一部分内容的概括，主题句一般位于段首和段尾，但以段首居多。

　　4）文章中的连接词：文章中的关联词，如although，therefore，but，furthermore，however这些词在文中一般起着起承转合的作用，这些关联词能帮助读者理解和把握文章上下文的逻辑关系，读者借助关联词就可以对文章上下文的内容作出正确的分析和判断。在阅读中要特别重视逻辑的转折，因为逻辑后的转折部分往往是作者所要强调的重点。

　　Begging is surely big business. And it has proven to be so in Dubai, where a recently arrested beggar was found making as much as 270,000 dirham around 73,500 U.S. dollars a month.

　　This being, said, I strongly recommend to define a clear strategy encouraging people to register, at least, to two training courses, each year.
